  SpeechMike Ambient is equipped with four high-performance microphones with active noise reduction and identification and separation of different speakers, for consistently clear and crisp sound. The wearable design keeps the microphones close to the user at all times, ensuring higher accuracy even in dynamic and noisy clinical environments - far better than smartphones or generic microphones.

  Different workflows require different audio settings, and SpeechMike Ambient is designed to meet these needs. Based on user studies it offers several selectable audio profiles - from single-user recording with noise reduction to conversation scenarios such as real-time translation and automatic identification of different speakers. This flexibility ensures optimal performance in different environments and use cases.

  SpeechMike Ambient guarantees secure data transfer with encrypted Bluetooth LE technology and a secure ”Passkey” connection method . Only one device can be connected at a time, which prevents unauthorised access or interference. The system is tested for reliable coexistence with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other 2.4 GHz devices and meets global standards such as CE, FCC and RCM (docking station and WiFi only with PSM5000 or as an accessory).

  SpeechMike Ambient is fully backward compatible with previous SpeechMike models, ensuring seamless integration into existing workflows while opening up new possibilities. With its comprehensive software development kit (SDK) and API access, third-party vendors can integrate the device directly into both desktop and mobile applications. With full control over button settings, device configuration and audio input, the SDK enables rapid implementation in speech recognition and AI platforms.

  Designed for smooth transitions between mobile and desktop use, the device can be worn with magnetic clips or a neckband for hands-free operation. It stores up to 10 wireless profiles and connects automatically to the nearest workstation when moving between patient rooms or work areas - completely without manual pairing. The docking station (only with PSM5000 or as an accessory) enables both charging and desktop recording, while the ergonomic, lightweight construction with tactile feedback provides comfort and durability even during long work shifts.

  The energy-efficient design provides up to 10 hours of continuous recording time and ensures battery life for a full work shift in a lightweight format. The user can charge quickly via the docking station or a standard USB-C cable. This guarantees high uptime and supports the mobile requirements of clinical environments.
