• Precision microphone

  The microphone in SpeechMike Premium is isolated from the chassis to deliver crystal-clear recording performance. The innovative microphone suspension ensures that almost no background noise, touch or click sounds, or wind noise are recorded. The technology is taken from studio microphones to reliably avoid all kinds of sound distortion – and to guarantee top results in speech recognition.

• Metal microphone grille

  SpeechMike Premium has a specially designed microphone grille. The hexagonal holes in the metal grille provide three times the open area of the predecessor, which means crystal-clear recordings.

  The microphone area on SpeechMike Premium is made of several different layers to achieve the clearest and most true-to-life sound possible. One of the layers consists of fleece above and below the microphone capsule. The fleece filters out disturbing sounds such as clicks and noise, ensuring perfect results even when the microphone is held very close to the mouth.

  SpeechMike Premium is equipped with twice the speaker area of its predecessor, delivering playback with crystal-clear and sharp sound.

  SpeechMike Premium has been designed with three ergonomic zones; it has been tested by users and shown to have the most comfortable fit in the hand. The dictation zone is optimised to minimise thumb movements. The buttons needed for the actual dictation functions are placed in the middle of the device, ensuring perfect ergonomics and use. Freely configurable function buttons for individual customisation.

  Because the back of a dictation microphone is just as important as the front, Philips has taken care to design it so that it fits perfectly in the hand and reduces the risk of accidental use. The mouse button and the command button on the back are designed to sit in exactly the right place.

• Integrated motion sensor

  SpeechMike Premium is at the forefront of technology and comes with an integrated motion sensor, which means it is the first dictation device that can be operated through hand movements. It detects when the device is placed on the desk and then switches off the microphone; when it is picked up, the microphone is reactivated.

• Four configurable function buttons

  With four freely configurable function buttons placed on the lower part of the control panel, SpeechMike Premium can be adapted to taste depending on the user and application. Work in the way that you prefer.

• Polished and metallic-painted surface

  The chassis of SpeechMike Premium is made of high-quality polymers. It has a polished surface, and the material contains a metallic-shimmering additive that provides a high-quality metallic effect and makes it resistant to touch and fingerprints.

• Antimicrobial surface and buttons

  The surface and buttons of SpeechMike Premium are made of antimicrobial plastic, which protects against all types of bacteria. Antimicrobial materials counteract a wide range of micro-organisms such as bacteria (e.g. pneumococci and multi-resistant micro-organisms such as MRSA), viruses (e.g. HIV, influenza viruses etc.), fungi (e.g. Aspergillus niger) and algae. The antimicrobial effect of SpeechMike Premium lasts for at least five years.

• Laser mouse with steel trackball

  SpeechMike Premium contains a built-in precision trackball made of stainless steel. Self-lubricating and wear-resistant Teflon bearings ensure good function, and in combination with the laser scanner and self-cleaning features, the trackball is more accurate and has a longer service life than ever before. In addition, the trackball can be removed from the device for cleaning, should that ever be needed.
